One of Leonard Cohen’s song says: “there is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in”.  I felt it was a good starting point in shaping the concept.

I guess I do have a thing with the light inside the box. But this time I imagined it being totally captured inside the box. If the cover is closed, a discreet ambient light comes out. If you need more light, you just pull the cover slowly until you get the proper light intensity.

Wood meets steel in a product that is meant to be both warm and cold. The metal frame gives  the whole structure stability without compromising it’s elegance and simplicity.

HIVE is a floor lamp. It fits bedrooms that feature a low platform bed and an overall casual and minimalist decor. By sliding the cover, the warm light you get is good for reading, writing or just to help you relax before a long day.

Made from oak and steel.
